Weight:  125 lbs w/o ancillaries - 165 lbs installed with radiator, oil tank, hoses, electrical, SS exhuast and SS muffler.  This is unquestionably the best power-to-weight ratio of any normally aspirated 4-stroke EAB/ELSA/Certified aircraft engine in use today. 

Liquid-cooled

Heated carburetors, by hot coolant and redundant electrical resistance

Magneto-fired individual (4) spark coils.  On the carb version if you have a short of electrical failure, the engine will continue to run at 100% power.  On EFI, if you lose the ECU, charge system, or the EFI, the engine will starve for fuel. 

Redundant dual impulse fuel pumps and back-up electric pump.

Manifold pressure-actuated carb throttle bodies prevent low manifold pressure-induced engine destruction.  The Mohawk GT4 (and YG3) is the only engine available for aircraft use today that has this feature!     (You won't find this feature on any Rotax, Jabiru, Lycoming or Continental, let alone some automobile engine conversion that weighs 200-350 pounds.  A  912 or 914 costs 2-3 times as much as the Mohawk GT4, yet if you run the high-dollar Rotax WOT and the revs don't redline just because you have your prop pitched for fuel efficiency, you will be stuck with a rather expensive boat anchor at some point.  We have customers buying our engines for this very reason:  their Rotax is in the repair shop because at WOT throttle the engine was only turning 5200 RPM.  Some folks say certificated engines don't necessarily mean better -  It just means they just have a published schedule of maintenance, and they cost twice as much as they are worth to pay off the expense of jumping through the FAA certification hoops.) 

Complete GT4 engine installation package includes: Engine, oil tank & mounts, starter motor, coolant reservoir, tuned intake plenum, tuned stainless steel exhaust including muffler & vibration-isolation mounts, aluminum radiator, coolant lines & mounts, wire harness w/ voltage regulator and ECU, Yamaha tach + instrument panel (includes rotor tach and readout), dual impulse fuel pumps with valved cross-over redundancy; engine mounts w/ full (gyrocopter) keel and mast framing, including all attachment points hardware.
